DES CANYON AUX ETOILES at Sydney Opera House and Barbican

After 3 great performances here in the States our production of Messiaen's DES CANYON AUX ETOILES is headed to Australia and the UK.  This wild piece of music is masterfully conducted by David Robertson, directed by and featuring the photographs and films of Deb O'Grady with my set and lighting designs.  We have been getting great responses and I hope you can see what we have made.  You can find more information and tickets to our performances in Sydney here or here for our one night only performance at the Barbican.  

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at Weston Playhouse

If you happen to be out in Vermont this summer come check out this production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER. OUR TOWN at Chautauqua Theatre Company

Very excited to be going back to Chautauqua this summer where I'll be designing the lighting for Paul Mullins' production of OUR TOWN.  Lee Savage is designing the set, Andrea Hood is designing the clothes.  Should be a great production of this excellent play.  Tickets and more information here.

TROUBLE COMETH at SF Playhouse

Just back from San Francisco where I lit Richard Dresser's very funny new play TROUBLE COMETH.  May Adrales directed, Nina Ball designed the set, Tatjana Genser designed the clothes, and Teddy Husker designed the sound.  If you're in SF go see it, tickets and more info here

ROUND-UP at BAM Harvey

I am lighting an evening of music and images at the Harvey this January featuring music by Sufjan Stevens and yarn/wire also featuring slow motion film of the Pendleton Rodeo by sibling film makers Aaron and Alex Craig.  Tickets and more information available here.

THE INDIAN QUEEN Perm (Remount) and Moscow

I am headed back to Russia this December to help with the remount of this beautiful opera.  The piece will also be performed for one night only at the Bolshoi.  I am the associate Lighting Designer to Jim Ingalls on this piece which premiered last year in Perm.  The piece is directed by Peter Sellars and features a set painted by GRONK, and costumes by Dunya Ramicova. WINNERS at Ensemble Studio Theatre

This January I will be lighting a very funny new play at EST called WINNERS by Maggie Bofill.  Pam Berlin is directing, the set is designed by Jason Simms, costumes by Sydney Maresca, sound and music by Florian Staab, and Lighting by Seth Reiser.  Previews begin January 14th.

SAINT MATTHEW PASSION at the Park Avenue Armory

I am very excited to be lighting Peter Sellars' production of J. S. Bach's SAINT MATTHEW PASSION with the Berlin Philharmonic as part of the White Light Festival this fall.  The piece performs on 7 and 8 October.  More information and tickets are available here

UNCLE VANYA at the Pearl Theatre Company

I'm in previews now for a beautiful production of UNCLE VANYA going up at the Pearl, opening on 19 September.  The production is directed by Hal Brooks and features a set design by Jason Simms, costumes designed by Barbara Bell, sound by Florian Staab, and lighting designed by Seth Reiser

COME & BACK AGAIN at Bates Dance Festival

David Dorfman Dance will be coming to Maine this July 25-26 performing their new piece, COME & BACK AGAIN.  The piece features a live band lead by Sam Crawford, costumes designed by Kristi Wood, projections designed by Sean Hove, an installation by Jonah Bell, and lighting designed by Seth Reiser.

Carmen DeLavallade in AS I REMEMBER IT at Jacob's Pillow

I was the associate lighting designer on this beautiful piece of dance-theatre opening at Jacob's Pillow this weekend.  The piece is directed by Joe Grifasi and features a set design by Mimi Lien, lighting designed by James F. THE MYSTERIES at The Flea

I am very excited to be designing the lighting for THE MYSTERIES at the Flea Theatre in NYC.  This very ambitious show is conceived and directed by Ed Iskandar, and written by 48 playwrights.  The production features a set designed by Jason Sherwood, costumes designed by Loren Shaw, and sound designed by Jeremy Bloom.  We are in tech now and very excited to see how well it's all coming together.
